UML leader K.P Sharma Oli has said there should be referendum to decide whether the country should adopt federal system.
Addressing a programme organised by UML Koshi Zonal Committee in Biratnagar on Tuesday, Oli said that referendum on is the best way to decide federalism given the current dispute between the parties.
"Personally, I'm not against federalism. There should be referendum to decide it because the dispute between the parties is hampering the peace process and constitution-drafting," said he, adding that federalism decided through negotiation between the parties might not be good for the country's sovereignty.
Oli also said that that "internally divided" Maoists have not been able to run the government, predicting that internal squabble in the Maoist party will bring the Bhattarai government down soon. nepalnews.com ...
