"Ethnic groups burn down copies of 5-pt deal"
Opposing the five-point agreement signed by major three parties early Sunday morning which paved the way for extension of the Constituent Assembly's term, about half a dozen ethnic organisations Monday burnt down the copies of the deal.
They burnt the copies of the agreement in front of the media, arguing the extension of the CA's term by three months on the basis of an agreement between the three parties is illegitimate.
These organisations are Tharuhat Autonomous State Council, Federal Loktantrik Rastriya Party, Indigenous Natanalities Rights Forum, Federal Limbuwan State Council and Tamangsaling Autonomous State Council.
Representatives of these organisations also informed that they would introduce a constitution themselves before the CA's deadline ends.
According to them, they are going to announce nine federal states-- Limbuwan, Khumbuwan, Tamangsaling, Tamuwan, Tharuhat, Magarat, Khasan and Mithila soon.
They also claimed that they would run the states by collecting tax and would carry out development works.after the announcement of "federal states". They even claimed that their announcement of federal states won't be against the Interim Constitution 2063 as there statute has provisions for formation of such states.
